Nicosia 2017

Getting in the Digital Media Zone and making it happen.

My home city, Nicosia, was a candidate to be the European Capital of Culture in 2017. For its candidacy campaign, the Nicosia Municipality invited me to join a strong team of individuals and partners that will support the communication of their vision.

I was provided with the branding and custom typography to base my work on. The overall Creative Direction of the ‘Get In the Zone’ campaign online and across social media was my responsibility for the first quarter, as well as the creation of the official website. The site was divided into 3 zones of content, keeping the campaign’s concept and supporting two languages. I approached the visuals with an artistic feel, combining photography, typography and colourful brand elements; seperating visually the 3 key zones of the campaign on the website and online properties, blending cultural and modern city locations with the Nicosia 2017 brand.
