Ghost of Tsushima:
An Interactive Journey

When the video game Ghost of Tsushima was first released, I was blown away by the immersive experience the world offered. Not to mention, one of the most emotional and beautiful intros I've ever experienced in a video. Naturally, I wanted to experiment with its visuals and create an online journey experience that reflects the concept of the game. I kept the design minimal, allowing the game visuals to stand out. The challenge was to create a cinematic feel for the first journey scene where I kept the main character static but the environment around him fully animated through animated matte-painting, reflecting how the game approaches its photo-mode engine.

A foggy forest scene with sunlight filtering through trees and a floating leaf.
A dark, stormy landscape with rain, trees, and a distant figure, illustrating an approaching storm.
